Well, it's official.  Danny came up with the bright idea of going to Malibu for the entire month (or so) of August.  We would stay in one of his Father's homes out there and try to play as many shows as possible.  Well, he's been lazy about getting permission.  This put me in a little bind because I have to plan these things in advance and make some sacrifices to do it AND maintain my life. 

    Anyway, today Danny got permission, and now it's just up to my boss and his willingness to let me go for four whole weeks (I don't see it happening).  I'm really excited about going, I think it will be a blast.  Yet, there has been a small part of me wishing he wouldn't get permission so that I wouldn't have to come up with a way to make some money for the trip.  I plan to sell my drum set.

    I will actually be okay for the trip, since I get paid on a two week delay.  It's the aftermath that will kill me, but I'll figure it out.  I gave my notice to my landlord that I was moving out at the end of the month, and if I play all my cards right maybe I can pay no rent anywhere for August - that would be a major bonus.

    So as soon as I get dates from my boss, I will be calling around trying to get gigs in California around the LA area.  If anyone out there has any leads, let me know.  That's right, if any of you two people who read my journal have any leads...word...
