Uberman sleep cycle
I had heard that certain famous individuals in history (da vinci, einstein, etc.) had had a weird sleep schedule. They would basically take short naps throughout the day and night, thus compressing their sleep into s nuggets totaling about 2 hours a day.
The idea always intrigued me, although I never knew anything about it and couldn't find much on the internet. Well today (yesterday) hackaday posted a story on it and its called the uberman sleep cycle, or polyphasic sleep. You sleep twenty minutes at 4 hour intervals. The end result is that you sleep more efficiently and get a 22 hour day (thats 3 extra months per year!)
So I'm going to give it a try. With my newfound feeedom its the perfect time. I just got done with my first nap. Apparently the first week is really hard. Your body isn't used to it so the "sleep" you're getting isn't really very efficient. The first week turns out to be a week of sleep deprevation. We'll see how it goes. I might give up before the first day - but I will keep you, my faithful readers, posted.

i was thinking of the same
i was thinking of the same thing last night/early early this morning, haha. 'cause i didn't sleep at all last night! i was like, i should do that thing. with the naps. and the intervals. and the sleep.
if it goes well for you, i think i'll have to try it out. but i'll wait to see how it goes for you first, haha. hooray for guinea pigs.
Damn! I want to trey that.
Damn! I want to trey that. If you have the story still will you let me read it?
I have a friend in Brazil
I have a friend in Brazil who tried that and he kept it going for two weeks to study a ton before some big entrance exam. He just said it was too hard because of the whole wife and kids on a normal schedule thing. Good luck.
